Stanley was the kind of friend everyone should have.
He never asked for more than what we had to give. Stanley faced the ups and downs of our lives and his with a steady and calm attitude. Everything was always “ok” with Stan, and so everything was always ok with us, his human family.
My life has not been the same since his passing. I lost the closest friend I have ever had – he moved out with me into my first apartment, stayed up with me while I cried through numerous heartbreaks, moved again into my first house, saw me get married, and more.
I thank Stan from the bottom of my heart for everything he taught me and continues to teach me through his example. My fondest hope is that now he is free and joyous and catching the birds he always chirped at through the window. I miss him everyday.
