You came to us from the Humane Society as a puppy.
The "breeder" thought you imperfect but they were so wrong.
Thor you were perfect. A perfect disposition so willing to please.
Affectionate and playful bounding over a picnic table top
in a single bound. You know it was meant to keep you on the
deck but you had too much fun jumping over it running
a lap and sailing back over.
Always very tolerant of the children.
I think you rather liked being squeezed and drug around
by your bandana. You knew a good way to get the little
one to leave you alone. A big wet smooge across the
head and face. He'd say "oooh For" but he liked it.
A big four-legged playmate and protector.
The children miss you alot. The little one asked me to bring you
upstairs today. I told him I would if you were downstairs but
maybe you were with him in spirit a dog angel.
He talks to you alot when we drive.
You were the "storm chaser" and you scared monsters
from under the bed. The boys loved for you to be in their room.
You watched over them in the yard and played with them.
They miss you not being there with them.
We really miss that silly Dobie grin. Especially when you'd
get off the couch as we came down the stairs....as if we didn't
hear the squeak of the frame. Such a clown.
Sometimes we come down at night for a drink and
expect to see you.
We wish your running path was still in our yard and those
muddy paw prints still at the back door.
Being drooled on while wiping your feet is not something we
thought we'd miss but we do.
All the toys are neatly in the basket but you know we'd
really rather have them strewn about the floor.
You know Angus has never been into the fleece animals but
you loved them. Angus acts tough but he'd like his
big pal to check the perimeter before he goes out.
Now we go with him.
The other night the little one asked to open the window so
he could yell " I love you For" (he still can't do the "th" sound)
towards the clouds.
We hope you heard that message.
We all love you and think of you very fondly.
We wish you could have stayed longer but we are grateful
to have had you in our lives.
Thor you are forever in our hearts.
