Cat
I had a small fuzzy friend
smaller than a doggie bigger than a mouse.
She had the eyes of an alien and
her purrs and meows could shake the house.
Qtips and leaves shivered in fear
when they saw her approaching
And she was never afraid to smack the dogs around
when they needed coaching.
She will always be near to me
right in the center of my heart curled in a little furry ball
And I wait for the day we’ll see each other again
when she’ll come when I call
“Tuna tuna tuna bunny…”
I love you now and forever.
