"Holly Lauren" 1990

Holly Lauren came to my family from the wild.
It was very cold that winter and she didn't have a warm place to go.
We set out some food in a cage for her and my grandmother
quietly tipped-toed out to the cage.
She closed the cage door and Holly didn't mind at all.
In fact she wanted to be captured.
Holly didn't even try to leave.
Holly was pure white and she had a dark spot on her nose.
She was pretty! Holly reminded me of a snow bunny.
She came to us around Christmas time
so that is why I named her Holly.
