Gerbil
I loved Velvet very much my Gerbil was a
very special friend to me.
Here's his story:
I bought my gerbil for a pet when I moved her; Dahlonega GA.
He was very calm and gentle. He was until about March when
he began to get really mean and would run from me when he
had used to just climb in my hand.
He bit my hand once and that's when I noticed the real change.
He got really fiesty and one day went into a frenzy and when
I opened the cage to give him fresh food and water he jumped
from the cage(about a 4ft. drop) he scurried off and I searched
forever day after day and after a week of searching and leaving
piles of food around the house I found his little body in my closet.
I was heartbroken and I still get teary eyes as I think
of him...my little Velvet.
