For Bob and Dixie
You were just so sweet just a charming little man.
With legs so short you could hardly even stand.
You grew and made your presence known with clowning and with style.
Your antics made mom laugh with tears when she only meant to smile.
You loved each other well your lives were now attached.
For Kipper you sly old boy you now had met your match.
The years flew by so much love and memories to treasure.
But as you know our lives are not forever.
You slowed down age crept in you didn't want to play.
Mom saw the signs and in fear knew you were going away.
As you look down and sit watching over them this night,
You wish you could tell them that what they did for you was right.
"From time to time think of me and remember me with joy.
Know that I loved the life I led I was a treasured little boy.
So please don't cry for me just because I'm gone.
I got my wings today and I am definitely not alone."
