"Walter" January 1996 ----- February 6 2000

Walter my dear,
Walter was a very special pet to me.
Today he held on for a very long time
he is a very strong for being so small.
One time we had to take Walter to the Vets
because he had a big lump on his tummy.
The Doctor said that it was a tumor.
He said that they could remove it
but he said that Walter might not make it through it.
But he did. Walter and me were in 4-H together
and our very first year we got grand champion.
I was so proud of him and I still am.
This year I was going to be in 4-H with Walter
but now I am not going to not with out Walter.
Walter I know that you are playing with all of the other gerbils
but do not for get me.
We will be together again some day.
Walter my dear this is all for you.
I love you with all my heart.
Good by little buddy.
