Darby for almost 15 years you were truly my best friend.
To say the grief I am feeling now is overwhelming is an understatement.
From the time I first saw you I believe you were my sole mate.
(you proved that to me by saving my life)
I had 15 years of unconditional love from you and now as I
look around the house I see you everywhere.
Every time I go to get in the van I picture you at the back door
with my keys in your mouth.
Every time I go upstairs to bed I can still hear you coming up the stairs.
(something that was so hard for you at the end
but you still did it every night)
I can only hope that someday when my time comes
you will be there to greet me.
I love and miss you
