The joy you brought still lingers on as I rise each morning
I recall how out the door we would go around
the block to and fro.
It's a struggle to fight back the tears as I wish you had been
with me this past year.
Your beautiful black eyes with that all knowing expression
will always be my treasure..
You showed such courage and strong character as always
as you battled pain each day and without a whimper.
To my wonderful champion and friend Kong may your days
be filled with playful fun and lots of friends at your side
while the angels watch over you
