You were such a beautiful red abyssinian.
My fearless hunter
you had all the neighborhood dogs
trained to leave you alone.
You were always waiting for me when I came home.
That one day that you weren't
I knew something had happened.
Though I will never be sure
there were reports of coyotes in the area.
You will always be my favorite cat.
