Cat
Una was a very special cat.
He came to us eight years ago after living five years
of his life with several neglectful/abusive owners.
Una was always the bright spot in our lives.
He gave us unconditional love and constant companionship.
Every morning he would faithfully wake up his "Mom" before
gently lowering himself onto her chest.
As she stroked his soft little head
our boy would purr and gaze lovingly into her eyes.
I cannot tell you how special this made Una's Mom feel.
Una also shared his love with his Dad.
He thought nothing of brushing up against the grateful man's leg
or keeping him company for hours on end.
Especially touching were Una's loving head butts.
Early in 2000 our sweet boy was diagnosed with a colonic tumour.
We were told by several specialists that his cancer was terminal
and he had only two weeks to live.
Una amazed us and our family vet by proving the doctors wrong
by forcing death to wait three months for him.
This was truly a victory of the feline spirit.
We miss our boy terribly.
Our lives are so empty without him.
We will love Una always...
