Zoe,
You spent so little time with us here on Earth,
but the memories you left behind fill us
with laughter and also some tears.
Your daddy said that you didn't feel a thing when
that car or truck hit you I pray that is true.
I hope you didn't feel pain or were afraid and I'm sorry
you had to die alone without your family
or anyone there.
We miss you very much.
We miss the way you had to sleep under
the sheets with us and how you used to chase
the birds bunnies butterflies and bees.
I miss your doggy kisses (and so does daddy).
Your human sister misses you and her first
birthday party just wasn't the same without
you trying to steal some cake and ice cream.
We miss your "ARROOO" that only a beagle can make.
But we take comfort in knowing that some day
we will be reunited and walk that Rainbow Bridge
together.
