This is in memory of the

first kitty that walked into my life - Precious.

 

She chose me on the front porch of my first apartment by winding herself

around my legs and into my heart. I've never heard so much purring in my

life! I slowly gained her trust & she began to reside with me and my

roommate nightly while wandering outside until our more experienced

neighbors noticed that she was "showing". After that discovery I grabbed

every cat book I could find to prepare for the "blessed event". Of the

five kitten born roughly six weeks later only two survived -

Button & Niblet who also captured my heart.

My meneagerie took my on a bittersweet journey through they joy of birth &

discovery to their respecive tragic deaths. When the smallest Button

became ill the vet indicated FeLV & she had to be put to sleep at 11

months old. And then the waiting with Precious & Niblet began. Niblet

succombed a month later and Precious that following October.

 

Thanks little ones for brightening my life and easing the pain of a

relationship breakup but most of all thank you for the joy you brought me.

I have adopted three cats to ease my pain and to grace my house with the

pitter-patter of paws again.

I am with you in spirit & you are never far from my thoughts.
