Peke-a-Poo

Although it has been over 11 years since

I lost my beloved companion

Gidget I still feel her loss every day.

She was and is my one and only pet.

We went everywhere together and enjoyed happy times and

endured lonely times together.

She never seemed sick or aging

she always had puppy-like energy her whole life.

She brought everyone joy and delight.

Her vet felt she still had several years of life left

but she suddenly fell ill one night and despite a week of tests

transfusions and an exploratory surgery

she had massive internal tumors

that she could not recover from

and I had to let her go.

My life has been empty without her

but I feel as if like the last line in "Danny Boy" she is saying

"I will sleep in peace until you come to me."

Thank you for this forum and for the Rainbow Bridge.

is a wonderful service.
