Siamese
I enjoyed Tabitha's companionship and love for 16 and a half years.
I raised her from a tiny kitten.
She was Siamese and typically was temperamental.
Some of my family and friends did not understand her
independent personality and were afraid of her.
But we shared a special bond. I truly was her only person.
A few years ago she developed a thyroid condition and
had to undergo radioactive iodine treatment.
She pulled through it but for the past two years has had
some pretty rough times with failing kidneys.
I could not put her through the subcutaneous fluid injections
the vet wanted to do most recently. Her condition worsened rapidly.
On Saturday Jan. 8 2000 I made the decision to stop
her suffering . Up until the almost the very end she was a fighter.
She hated Vets and wanted to just be at home where
she was comfortable.
I loved Tabitha as I do the human members of my family.
She was always there for me when I was hurting and alone.
Love always to my friend and companion.
