Ferret
The first time I saw her she was in the pet shop
and was already one year old. Everyone coming to the
shop would always want the baby ferrets and she would
again be left behind.
The only life she knew was a glass enclosure and no love
and never seen the sunlight. As soon as I picked her up
I knew she had a home as she started kissing me.
She became the most lovable of the six ferrets we had
and fell in love with our daughter Shannon.
Whenever Shannon would make her special noise
she would come running like a puppy dog and follow
her where ever she went. She would even go looking for
her as soon as she was let out of her cage and crawl
up in bed and go to sleep with her.
When anyone would pick he up she would kiss them in
return for their love. Sasha developed a tumor and it was
so large it could not be removed.
It was like a piece of our heart was torn out when she passed
but now she is healthy and happy again.
She will be sadly missed but not forgotten and we look
forward to some day seeing her again.
