"Lazy Bones"

{Bonesy}

September 18 1985 ----- July 10 1999

Collie/Shepherd

Lazy Bones (or Bonesy for short) was our special doggie.

His best friend Harley Dog misses him so much.

When Bonesy and I moved from

Minnesota to Milwaukee to live with Bob and Harley

Bones had no problem getting along with Harley at all.

Harley loved how he got to go on more walks after we moved in.

They both would bark ferociously at the "ugly dogs"

that were always waiting behind a fence for their chance to bark back.

It was the highlight of their walk.

During icy days I would never go by the "ugly dogs"

for fear of Bones and Harley's excitement causing me to slip.

We had to say goodbye to our friend Bones

one Saturday morning after he had a series of seizures during the night.

(He had suffered his first seizure on April 10 1999.)

The vet couldn't tell us what was causing them.

All we knew is that he enjoyed life between seizures until July 10.

On that day Bones couldn't bounce back from the seizures.

His strength was almost gone.

We took him to Burger King and fed him a Whopper.

Bones always loved people food.

He opened his eyes upon smelling the burger.

Even though Bones was a dog he was also a little piggie.)

After using up his remaining energy eating that burger

he closed his eyes and fell asleep at the vet.

He was a good dog and we miss him.

We know Bonesy is in Heaven and we will see him again.

As for Harley he will be getting a new playmate soon.

Our message to Bones: We love you Bones.

Heaven is lucky to have you.
