Chinese Pug
![]()
I didn't choose my little Pug he chose me.
For sixteen years he was by my side constantly.
He knew and understood when I was unhappy and snuggled
even closer with his head on my lap.
He gave me the strength to cope with my mother's and
brother's passing by looking at me with that wrinkled face
and big brown eyes and letting me know that he
understood my saddness.
Even when I had to hold him in my arms while he was put
to sleep he looked up at me and I knew he understood.
He knew that I loved him more than the world and
that he would never be forgotten.
Puggy was my little boy my friend and my companion.
There isn't a human being on this earth who could give me
more unselfishly or ask for so little in return.
I know that someday we will be reunited and his aches
and pains will be gone; his blindness removed;
and his youth restored.
Until that day my life will feel empty.
I miss my little kid.
