Tucker had a disease called nivicular and it caused him much pain once in a while. He was 27 when he was put down. We had to put him down last winter because when he was outside the snow would gather under his hooves and creat balls of ice. It got so bad that I couldn’t stand to see him walk around. He would limp with every step. So on a Friday while I was at school my dad had Tuck put down. I was angry at my dad for a while for making me go to school. I wanted to hold Tuck’s head. but now I realize that it would have been harder on me if I had. It’s been about 10 months since Tuck’s been gone and I cry any time I look at one of his pictures. But I know that some day we will meet again and we will go galloping through the fields bareback like we have done in the past
