GOD’S LOAN

“I’ll send you for a little time a ferret of mine,” he said. “For you to have the while he lives and mourn for when he’s dead. It may be six or seven years or maybe two or three but will you till I call him back take care of him for me?

He’ll bring his charms to make you smile and should his life be brief you’ll have sweet memories of him and solace for your grief. I cannot promise he will stay since all from earth return but there are lessons taught down there that I want you to learn. I’ve looked this Heaven over in search for teachers true and from the many special ferrets I think he’s right for you.

Now will you give him all your love in sunshine and in rain nor hate me when I come to call and take him back again? For all the joy this ferret shall bring the risk of grief we’ll take and in our hearts there’s always room for one more bed to make. But should the angels call for him much sooner than we planned we’ll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand.”

Dear little Mo my little “Mo better meatty meat burger!” I did indeed give you all my love and do my best to take care of you for the short time I had you. The pain of losing you is overwhelming but I will always carry sweet memories of you in my heart. Your spirit will live on in me forever my little white ferret boy. I hope you and Minne are having fun together running in the ferret tunnels dooking together once again and curling up together in your little hammocks. I will be looking for you both when it is my time to cross the rainbow bridge.
