Alfie by Sarah

Alfie came to us about 5 yrs ago as an adult stray. I was fostering for a local cat charity at the time and had a call to pick up a stray ginger cat from a post office. I went in and put the catcarrier on the floor and he walked right in and into my heart. That was that. He stayed with my husband and I and joined 10 other brothers and sisters (also unwanted stray or abused cats I just couldn’t rehome!).

We recently moved home and whilst looking for a new house(we are staying with a friend) Alfie became ill. He got thinner and thinner and after a check up from our friendly vet it was found that Alfie had a large lump in his stomach. He went into surgery and it was found that he had a very advanced bowel cancer. I had to let him go….

I miss him terribly and can’t describe my grief in losing my little ginger boy…he has a tree planted for him so I can remember him every time I tend it as do all the catkids I’ve lost.

Alfie I love you and always will……….say hello to Bramble Molly Eddie and Spike for me as I miss them too. You are all always in my heart

Love forever mummy.
