We had to carry our dog Trouble to the vet yesterday evening. His stomach had swelled up. We came to find out that he unknowingly had spleen cancer. The mass caused his stomach to twist up pinching his esophagus and small intestine off. The gas built up in his stomach and bloated him. He had surgery last tonight to see if their was anything they could do to save his life. He was a best friend. The cancer had also spread to his liver. He was 11 years old. He passed away on the operating last tonight 02/10/2001 at 9:15PM. He wagged his tail to the very end. He was so brave never even wimpered. We are heart broken with grief . Here is a copy of his eulogy Prayer for his burial this afternoon 02/11/2001. We thought you might find this a Blessing too. Others we know have.
Father
We praise and worship you today in your all knowing sight of all things. Father we know that you are here with us for where ever 2 or more gathers and speaks of your name you will be here to listen and guide us. Father we beg forgiveness of our every sin where we have failed you. We ask your forgiveness of our friend Trouble where ever he has failed you too.
We come to you today Father God to lift up our friend and guardian Trouble to you. He was allowed to pass on to the life here after February 10 2001 at 9:15 PM in the evening. A victim of cancer of the spleen with no hope of survival.
Father we know as a Loving God you love all things and that none shall perish in the site of Thee.
Therefore as our friend Trouble was in our site as servants to only you. We ask that you may see fit to allow our servant and guardian here on Earth a place with you too. That we may one day be re-united with him in your Glory forever and ever.
Friends again with no pain or suffering unto your glory singing Praise be to our God in Heaven.
Psalm 23
A Psalm of David.
1 The LORD is my shepherd I shall not want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters.
3 He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I fear no evil for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and loving kindness will follow me all the days of my life And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
Lord we Pray that surely Troubles goodness and loving kindness has followed him too all the days of his life. We ask that You will allow him as well a place to dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
Ashes to ashes dust to dust we commit his earthly body back to the Earth. Jesus Please take His Spirit Home.
We humbly ask this in the Most High Name of Jesus.
