A FELINE SO RARE”
I saw you last night
You didn’t look the same
A little scared maybe
But without much pain.
The cold chill of summer’s air
Creeped around all who stood near
I walked slow last night
Trying not to disturb your journey there.
I remember the day we met.
I remember your sweet glare.
I remember your presence always precious and rare.
The sound of death the last I did hear
For you are a friend who is no longer near.
As I stood and looked a few
A piece of me left and went with you.
Your body helplessly drooping
Slowly starting to stiffen
I know this pain we feel
Will never be uplifted.
I held you hoping you would awake
You never did My heart it did break.
I whispered I loved you
And kissed your furry cheek.
Laid you in your bed for your soul GOD to take
Your hole we dug
We laid you at peace
A moment of silence
For we all became weak.
We’ll never forget you
Your memories will never fade
You were a feline so rare
So don’t be afraid.
All your friends are there
They’ve gathered to greet you
You’re in good hands
And know that we’ll soon again meet you.
Until then behave yourself
We love you and miss you
And wait for the day
To give you more treats
To hold you and play.
We love you Max
Rest In Peace
