From a small black puppy I could hold in my hand
To someone very special that I called my best friend.
I remember the sounds of your little puppy bark
I remember the days we played in the park.
“Where’s the rope, Where’s the ball”…
I’d see you looking around and down the hall.
“Slow down Whiskey, Don’t eat so fast…
Your food will still be there as Chase walks past.
“I’m leaving now Whiskey so don’t get on the couch”
I know what she’s done because she’s quiet as a mouse.
I came home today and you didn’t greet me at the door
Does this mean I don’t have my best friend anymore?
No, it only means God has taken you away…
To a wonderful place where the roses never fade.
Don’t think for one second that you will ever leave my heart
Even though God has decided that we should be apart.
I’ll see you in heaven, we won’t miss each other anymore
And once again you’ll greet me at the door.
Whiskey is loved and greatly missed by Mom’s Michele and Loree, Sisters Chase and Aspen. You’ll never be forgotten!
All my Love Kiddo!
