Dear Fluffy,
You spent 3 months living rough in the bushes near our home too nervous to trust anyone or allow anyone near you. I fed you every day and tried hard to win your confidence as winter was on the way and I knew you would not survive it unless I caught you. I did finally catch you – and brought you to live with us, you were so nervous at first but soon you became such a lovely pet so affectionate despite the terrible fear you had in your eyes before.
You loved me and followed me everywhere and cried if I left the room. We had you vaccinated and neutered and although you were not active for a 1 year old cat we thought all was OK. Sadly just 1 month after I caught you, you took pneumonia and became so ill. the vet treated you but sadly you died that night at the vet’s clinic – we had you rushed there fighting for your breath hoping he could save you.
You are buried next to Felix who died a few months before you. I loved you so much Fluffy, you were a big fluffy cat, but so gentle and so sweet and innocent. You had a hard life and I am glad we were able to give you a home for the last 4 weeks of your life, and love and you were so proud to have a home and people to care for you and feed you. You deserved it so much more and we all miss you so much. I just wish we could have saved you and you had longer with us.
Rest in peace Big Fluff.
