Gizmo by Sam Romanoski & Nat Kantrowitz / … our little angel … that Momma’s Girl.

It is with a heavy heart, many tears, overwhelming sadness, and eternal appreciation that I write this remembrance.
Twelve days shy of her 15th birthday, Monday night, August 18, 2003, our little Gizmo left this world
surrounded by love and attention.

We are tremendously sad and will miss her greatly. At the same time, we are thankful beyond belief that we had the blessing of her happy and loving presence in our lives… especially as long as we were lucky to have her.
Those of you who knew her know that she loved people, chicken, carrots, orange sherbet, and going in the car… not necessarily in that order.

We are so thankful that she did not have to suffer and even more grateful that we were able to be with her at the end. She knew she was loved and she knew she was not alone.

She was a member of our family and an integral part of our every day. She even helped me through school… without her and Nathan, I could have never done it!
I’m told it doesn’t always hurt this much, and we both know it will take time, but right now, there’s a terribly empty place in our home and in our hearts.

We want to thank those of you who have already expressed your condolences… you can never imagine how much they mean to us at a time like this.
Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.
We also want to sing the praises of the two most wonderful veterinarians in the world that took such loving care of our little girl. Amy Harrison, who has taken care of Gizmo since Gizmo moved to South Florida with me five or so years ago; and Lisa Weiser, who so gently and compassionately helped us through our final sorrowful hours with our beloved pet. Both of these fine young ladies work at the Coral Springs Animal Hospital – what an asset they are to their employer, their profession, and to all the pet owners lucky enough to have the privilege of working with these two.

Both women are exceptionally sweet, sensitive,
and capable doctors.
Our little angel friend rests now… forever emblazoned in our hearts and in our memories.
Thank you all for your love and kind words.
Samantha & Nathan
