He was a true friend when I felt I had none,
A comfort in times of distress.
A joy to have around, always trying to make things better.
A defender, a listening ear, keeping all my secrets, sharing all my troubles, all my happiness, all my tears.
He listened when no one else would, didn’t voice any negative opinions, and kept me from being lonely and depressed more times than I can remember.
He even saved my life by giving me hope to keep going when I felt there was none.
People love, but not completely; and they let you down without a second thought. Spouses, kids, friends, family, coworkers all will disappoint you.
But Muffin, and pets like him, love unconditionally; always happy for any attention no matter what has happened.
He was my best friend and I will miss him until I die. He will always be on my mind.
