Princess came into our lives with her brother on a hot August Saturday. We literally picked them up off the street, fed them, took them to the vet and kept them along with our two other cats. Over the years Princess became “Mom’s” sleeping pal/nurse. As I suffer from chronic migraines, whenever I was in the bed suffering from one, Princess was always there, actually holding my face between her paws and licking my face. We ‘talked’ using meows and tongue clicks to get her to come to us and she was very vocal!
In February 2003, she became ill from a heartworm and managed to pull her through that episode. However, four weeks ago, she became quite ill suddenly and to spare her anymore pain and suffering we decided to let her go.
I miss her so much. Mom’s nurse isn’t there when the migraines hit, not there when I go to bed at night (at least not physically). She was cremated and is on our “kitty shelf of honor” with another kitty, Scooter, who we lost March 29, 2000. Even though we still have three ‘children’ left, our home is very empty without our ‘chatty’ one.
We love and miss you, Princess,
