Tessa by Janice, Lena, Jordan, and Aaron / Lena

Oldie Hawn, Count Tessula, Tess –

Whatever name we called you, you would always greet us with a double meow and try to sit on our knees. I am going to miss the bald spots running from each eye to ear, your fangs that eventually fell out, your blue paws, your sneezing on our blankets and occasionally our necks. I am going to miss you doing the “cat dance”, the way you ran when you knew we were going to feed you, the way you whipped your tail, how dark your eyes got when you played with us, the way you hated kittens, your jewelry, and your prissy little meow. You never did like being dirty – you really were a princess.

Thanks for always being there to give our family unconditional love over the 14 years. I am so glad I had a jean jacket and that cage lock was open. It was fate we found you and I hope you were happy.

I am sorry you didn’t get to go with a little more dignity and a lot less soreness, but I know you loved the milk, sardines, and one last pet under the chin.

We will miss you Oldie Hawn!

Love Always,
Tessa
