Ace by Debbie Mcllreath / Family and Friends

This page commemorates the Ace Memorial Fellowship Fund, dedicated to the memory of a Rottweiler named Ace who’s life was tragically cut short. Ace would have been two years old on May 16th but his youthful exuberance cost him his life. Ace was the special companion of Debbie McIIreath, whose life he filled with joy.

Ace was the gentle heartbeat always by her side, at her feet, tugging socks, always wanting to play. Stories about Ace’s antic were the night’s entertainment at the group home where Debbie worked. We too watched him grow – Ace tormenting Bella wanting to play; Ace playing with Zar down by the river; Ace tearing a hole in mom’s pocket to get at some leftover treats; Ace tucking his butt up and zooming in circles around Bella; Ace bouncing in the deep snow just this past February. The residents there will miss hearing the stories of Ace’s antics.

This fund is set up in Ace’s memory through donations from Ace’s family and friends, set aside from our normal rescue budget to be used for medical reasons to help other rotties in need. His memory will live on through the ones saved. These funds will be used to help the sick be healed, so that more can be reached. They will always be used with a memory of Ace and others like him, who made us better because they shared our lives. Greatly loved and now greatly missed, dear Ace is now with the angels. He lived a happy life, but was taken much too early. This fund is a testament to the power of rescue. What we once have enjoyed, we can never lose.

All that we love deeply becomes a part of us. – Helen Keller
