Preacher by Kelly B. / Kelly

The first time I saw Preacher, he was six weeks old, tiny, all white. So white he was pink underneath, like a bunny. He was so sleepy but wanted to stay awake to see what was going on but he would rock back and forth, his little eyes rolling back in his head with sleep. I fell in love.

That little tiny grew to the size of a small dog, weighing almost 25 lbs. He always looked like a bunny though with that pink nose and ears. He was so loving and so very good; he NEVER did a naughty thing in his life and enjoyed company so much that he ran to the door at the sound of the bell and welcomed visitors with warmth and love and insisted on sleeping in their bed if they stayed overnight.

He was very affectionate and amazingly tactile with his front paws, reaching out to touch me on the shoulder, the arm, the face. He loved to be tickled under his arms and would lie on his back and hold his arms out for easy access. He loved me strongly when I was sad and was such a comfort.

My poor baby had to be put to sleep today and I held him as he purred, thanking him and telling him it was ok and how much I loved him.

Thank you again, bunny, boo boo baby, funny cat. I will see you again one day and miss you so very, very much till then. You were simply the best and
I will always love you so very much, Preach.
