Fuzz,
You were a six week old puppy that we brought home in a shoe box from “Aunt Ingrid and Uncle Hughie’s Home”. You were a big part of our family when we were growing up. Funny times where when you would allow us to dress you up with a silly bandanna & sunglasses on your head, or you would grab Mom’s handbag off the doorknob and carry it around in your mouth. How you could sit out on the porch furniture and watch the people walk down the street-never barking or making noise (mind you) just enjoying the fresh air-and hogging the couch which you loved to do, and none of us minded. Because we loved you So Much!!
Many nights you would wait to go to bed, making sure that everyone was safely home, Or how about when you would carry your dinner bowl into the dining room to have your dinner, while we ate in the kitchen. I often wondered how you always knew when someone didn’t feel well and you were right by there side to comfort them, but when it came time for you- we had no idea how sick you were. You were a trooper and it wasn’t the hip dysplasia, but cancer.
I know that you just went ahead so that when the time came for Dad to go home to the Lord you were there to meet him as well. Now Mom is with you as well, and I am sure that she is happy to see her old friend. You were the best friend a child could ever have asked for and you will always hold a special place in the hearts of six kids that you were such a big part of their daily life.
Sadly missed , but never forgotten.
