You came into my life so unexpectedly and by chance and from that moment my life began. You brought me a love like no other and the times we shared will remain with me forever. There will never be another like you and my love for you will never change. I know you are watching me always and licking away my tears saying please don’t cry mummy. You were taken so suddenly and I pray you knew nothing about it at the end.
I am thankful you were like a young puppy right up to the end of that walk on that final day. That was our farewell not those terrible hours that followed. Mummy wanted to take your pain away but I didn’t know how. I told you to fight but I also told you to go if you needed to and you made that choice, I respect your decision, you were always right.
Run free now my angel and play with all the friends you have met up with again and all the new ones. You will be with me every day and one day you will know it is time to come to the bridge with wagging tail and wait for me to cross and you will be in my arms again. Until later my precious baby.
