Kado was a life long dream come true. He was sunshine and happiness in my life. Rescued from an owner who abused him and saved from a shoddy life of being a show dog, he came into my life at a young age, 12. We knew at an early state that he was special and his special still lives on.
I was never really a dog person since my favorite dog had to be destroyed when I was the tender age of 8, I still haven’t recovered from that or two of my lab pups being poisoned by some heartless fiend in the black of night.
But there was something special about Kado.
He was there when no one else was, when my family was seperated he was there and it was only fitting I be the only one with him when he took his last breath at 7:48 in the morning. Whatever the reason he left me, he will never be replaced.
“And may you never love in vain
And in my heart you will remain
Forever young, forever young,
Forever Young
Forever Young
And when you finally fly away,
I’ll be hoping that I served you well
For all the wisdom of a lifetime, no one can ever tell
I miss you, hamburgler.
