Frosty by Dan Rhoten / Dan, Sonya, Chris, Alissa, Becky, Lizzie, Millie,

Frosty was abandoned by her former owner, and one summer day in 1993,trotted up on our front lawn and began playing with my children. She immediately became a very special member of our family. She was healthy and happy until just the past few months. She developed cancer, very slow growing, but was otherwise healthy until just a few days ago. She started coughing…and we found out that not only did she have pneumonia, she also had heartworms.

I slept on the couch with her last night…and we shared some very special moments that I will never forget. As I spent those final few moments with her this morning at the vet’s office, we shared a time of love and affection that only two friends truly understand….and then she was gone. Frosty, you may be gone from our home physically, but you are never gone from our hearts and minds.

One promise I make to you, my sweet girl… daddy will never forget you. I am envious of you, Frosty! You have made it home…and now you can be completely well, and run and play with your buddy Rags and Coco. I love you, my precious angel! I will be looking for you someday in Heaven…where we’ll never have to say goodbye again!

With Unending Love,
Frosty
