Domino, or P_lod as we called him, came into my life almost five years ago, he had lived a long time in kennels with his companion Pedry, who passed away three years ago.
Plod was a wonderful soft gentle man, deaf and with one able eye, I fell in love with him instantly, he never caused any trouble or upset and got on so well with my other 23 dalmatians and our collie.
Sadly in the summer of 2003 he had a massive stroke which left him partially paralyzed; he was bed ridden but not about to give up, so there followed months of care and attention in which showed how much fight he had, gradually he got his movement back, and by the spring of 2004 he was able to walk around around our whole two acre property with all of the dogs. He was my little shadow and was with me constantly, each night insisting that he took up his place on the sofa beside me.
Sadly he developed a heart problem too, but at almost 18 and having gone through all he had, it was no surprise. Plod passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early hours of 20th Dec 2004, he was my Mr Wobbly, my most wonderful old man who would not leave me a day too soon.
Mummy`s Mr Wobbly,
forever remembered,
