LACEY
Lacey, my beloved girl, left the bonds of earth to run with Eli and her other friends, some of whom she hadn’t even met til tonight. She died from old age and a sudden heart condition that took her quickly from me. Now she can run free and bark as much as she wants and take over the puppy nursery at the Rainbow Bridge. We all know how she loved puppies even if they weren’t her own. And no one will ever measure her food again; in fact, she now has her own fully stocked refrigerator.
Lacey, thank you for allowing me to be a brief part of your life. Thank you for giving me the gift of your beautiful daughter, Pearl. I wish you could have stayed longer but your big heart just gave out and you needed to rest.
See you someday at the bridge; til then, Godspeed, my beautiful blue merle Lacey.
