Tubbs by Kelli and Charles Drescher / Dad, Mom and Matt and Colleen

Tubbs was our first “baby”. I gave him to my then fiance on Valentine’s Day 1991 when he was 2 mo old. We had Tubbs for 12 and a half years until we put him down due to senility on May 19, 2003.

Tubbs was first and foremost the best dog you could ever have. He loved everyone/thing except cats and was the best buddy to the children and to us.

The last year or so he began to really hate storms; he was struck by lightening as a pup but was more terrified as he got older. He was found the day we put him down in our sons room “hiding” by Matt’s bed. He was dazed and did not know us. The vet- Dr. Barb Pepin(our angel vet) came and gave him the kindest shot of all. My husband took him and buried him next to his buddy Pepper(paw print 170), whom we had to put down 10 months ago
due to canine Lymphoma.

We greatly miss our boys and swore we would wait to get another dog. The wait was only 2 days- we brought home Riley- a 2yr old black lab from the animal rescue league yesterday. He will NEVER replace TUBBS, but he will help the healing process.

Please remember all animals need to be loved and cared for and when it is time. Please do the hardest but kindest thing to them and send them to Heaven in peace and with out pain.

Thank you for reading and allowing us to share
this tribute to a wonderful dog.

Tubbs we love and miss you.

Love and memories always,
