Cheyenne by Mom, Dad and the Kids / Your Family

Cheyenne had a hard life the little time she was here. A thoughtless human who “didn’t have time” for kittens tossed her out with the trash before she was a month old. Cheyenne was battered, broken and crying with her siblings when they had their first stroke of luck.

Another human just up the street threw her beautiful siamese lady out the back door because she also “didn’t have time” for a little girl who’d turned up pregnant. This sweet little siamese we call Sheena was born to be a mommy — she heard Cheyenne and her siblings and tracked them down. She was able to save Cheyenne and her brother Cody; the rest of the babies just couldn’t make it.

Sheena also saved three kitties from another litter who’s mommy had passed on. With her new brood and a couple in her tummy, Sheena attracted the attention of some sweet people who knew she and the kitties needed help — they got lucky a second time when these people found an email address for our shelter.

We rescued Cheyenne and her little family a month ago. This poor little baby had her pelvis and hips broken and since she was on her own, they mended back the best way they could. Under our care, she ate well, got all cleaned up and even re-learned to walk. Unfortunately, the damage was just too much for her little body — she fell asleep last night and was gone in minutes.

We will always love you Cheyenne and mourn the loss of all kittens from people who just “don’t have the time”.

With Love,
Cheyenne
