Moose made our family complete. Whenever Dad was deployed, she watched over us with extra care. If any of us were scared, sad or lonely, Moose was there with her Boxer wiggle to cheer us up. We will miss her hovering under the dinner table for a spare noodle and sneaking into the kitchen to try and lick a smidgen from the open dishwasher.
Moose loved taking walks and dreaming of catching birds. Her favorite season was winter when she could run outside at breakneck speed with her mouth wide open to eat the snow. Moose was gentle and funny, especially when one of us played “hide under the blanket” with her. Some people thought she looked mean, but we never once saw anything but her goodness. She was a big scaredy cat at heart and would shy away from frogs and hamsters as if they were the scariest things ever! She always had us
laughing at her antics.
She had eyes that made even purported dog-haters fall in love. Everyone who knew Moose loved her and she will be missed every single day. Her sighs coming from her pillow bed, her nails clicking across the tile and yes, even her stinkiness that could clear a room are missed!
Even when she was skinny and sick with lymphosarcoma, her spirit and love for us never wavered. We will never be able to replace our Miss Moose with her Crazy Ears. No fur kid was ever loved as much.
Always a Part of Our Family,
