He was the peace in my life and the heart in my chest. He was my son, my soulmate and my deepest, truest friend. He cheated death three times over nine years to remain by my side. I didn’t know how important he would be to me until I almost lost him the first time when he was four. Then he and I set off on a wonderous journey of companionship. His smile would light up a room and his charm would sweep anyone off their feet. The void his absence has created in my life will never be healed. The joy and love he gave me will be cherished every day until I find him again – be it here or at the rainbow bridge.
