Dear Fred,
You were the first Dumbo Ear Rat that I ever owned. We were amazed at how smart and loving you were. Even know we lost you to cancer after only having you a short while, you brought laughter and joy to us. Every time we said your name you would come to the top of your cage for us to let you out and play. I remember Maty saying she would never touch a rat. But in one day you had her holding and loving you. You returned all our love by kissing us and playing. I remember how you cleaned yourself all the time. You were a good pet Fred. And we miss you.
