Crystal by Geri / Your first Mom

Dear Crystal,

You came into our lives shortly after Dad passed away. Mom was so depressed and lonely, but as soon as she saw you – the adorable puppy I gave her – her eyes lit up
and her life changed!

Crystal, you brought such love and joy to Mom. You gave her a reason to get up in the morning and brightened each of her days. You were always by her side, either sitting next to her on the couch or by her feet. You became her “shadow” and she loved every minute of it.

You entertained everyone with your antics. Whether it was jumping from the chair to the couch, walking on your hind legs with your front paws in the air or (your favorite past time) playing with grapes! You would pop one grape in the air and bounce it off the floor and occupy yourself for hours.

Mom spoiled you rotten by actually feeding you “people” food with a fork! You loved cheese raviolies,
pork chops and steak.

As the years went by, you were no longer jumping from one piece of furniture to the next, but you always had an energetic walk and sparkle in your eyes.

We lost mom on Christmas Eve, 2004. You knew she was gone and you missed her so, but we adopted new playmates and they helped cheer you up. Every morning, we loved to watch you run across the courtyard with your new “sisters” in anticipation of another day out.

In the last few months of your life, you slowed down quite a bit. Your walk became rather slow, but
your love was always there.

Thank you for coming into our lives.
We will always miss you!

You brought joy, love and laughter to everyone!
Crystal
