Dear Katie,

You came into this world on March 17,1993 and into my heart on May 7, 1993. You were so tiny and cute and it was love at first sight. You came home with me that day.

We had 14 wonderful years together. You gave me unconditional love, loyalty, companionship, protection, comfort when I was sad — and help with everything I did. You were always near me.

I loved your big, beautiful, expressive brown eyes, your soft silky ears and fur, your personality, and your gentle nature.

My darling, I gave you love, a home, and the best medical care I could find but the time came when that big heart became weak, breathing became hard for you, and you were in such pain. You didn’t understand what was happening and you’d come to me for help I could not give except to let you go. It was the hardest decision I ever had to make but I know you are in doggie heaven now — well, strong, and running free. I hope you have found your sister, Sugar.

I miss you so much,
but we will meet again
at the Rainbow Bridge.
