You were always so playful and upbeat. Always smiling. I remember the day we brought you home and 1 year old Cletus hated you. But oh how you guys grew to become the best of friends. He’s really lonely now that you’re gone. You loved to go on walks and push ahead – always eager to lead the pack. You loved to please anyone and everyone in your life. Riding in the car and going on trips – you traveled the country and enjoyed every minute of it. You even learned how to swim!
It was so sad to see arthritis and DM set in, slowing you down and making your life much less enjoyable. We held on as long as we could, but this week we had to make the decision to send you to a better place. We’ve learned a lot from you and will never forget your great smile, incredible intelligence and gentle demeanor. There will never be another D Dog. Definitely the sweetest dog ever. We enjoyed having you in our lives for a long eleven and a half years. Rest in peace little girl.
