Toby by Denise Repath / Mommie

My boy was named Toby Elliott Shapiro because right from the start he resembled a jewish boy that adored his mother. He chose not to marry and procreate because of his love of staying close to me. When Stella was born, I bought a beautiful gray poodle hand puppet. She had long eye lashes and pink ribbons in each ear. He spotted her and fell in love. The hole where the hand would go was a perfect fit for humping. He wore the fur off of her forehead from her being face down during the process. He named her Fifi and Stella never knew she was missing a toy. As he grew older, he called me to get him off the couch, feed him, get his chewie from under the couch, put him in the bed etc. He was then nicknamed Princie and wouldn’t answer to anything less. When he was naughty he was called Weenus because of what it rhymed with.
This name is also used for his father Brad.

The day he came home from his castration he developed an obsession with balls. He collected them as a hobby and at his death had accumulated 23 balls. My boy’s lip would stick to his tooth and he always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed the sunshine and jumped on the first step of the pool to cool off during our hot summers. He loved Stella and Lorna because they were short like him. He loved to go for walks and pranced down the street on his zebra colored leash. He had a flair for color and also owned a red sweater with maribou trim when he visited Chicago in 2005. Given the option, he would rather own pink and purple vs. gray or navy. He was my only lil man and is missed tremendously.

Luv u so much,
Toby
