Darkness by Chet Walker / Your friend, Chet

Darkness was my best friend for almost 20 years. I had her from the before the time I was in high school until I was 33.

I remember the day me and my brother went over a friend’s house and there she was walking by. She adopted us of course. I did a paper route then and carried her in one of my paper bags and she poked her head out.

She loved milk more than anything, ironically that’s the first thing we gave her. She was a tough kitty, surviving a lot of things. She even went after neighborhood cats who invaded her territory.

She always sat by me while I was on the computer, always there to greet me when I got home, and always coming to me and sitting on my lap. She was a friend there for me whether I had a good or a bad day.

I’m always going to remember the good times I had with her but am going to miss her a lot. You can never replace good friends of 20 years.
I always told her I loved her and I always will.

I miss you and love you,
Darkness
