Jet by Anne Cook / Anne

Jet was a Katrina Dog. He was found roaming the streets of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. He had been abandoned. He was sent to the shelter here. I work near the shelter so I went there doing my lunch break every day. I saw him there every day for a week. He wasn’t a real cute dog. He was older and walked with a distict limp. I felt sorry for him so I adopted him and took him home. When I got him to my house I discoverd what a smart dog he was. He did any thing you would tell him to do. He was so sweet and loving. I fell madly in love with him. He had several health issues and I had to spend a lot of money on him. But I did not mind I loved him so much. I don’t think he ever had it so good. He was kept indoors and had his own bed he stayed in during the day and at night he slept at end of my bed. I only had him for 18 months when his kidneys stopped working and I had to put him to sleep. I loved him so much and know one day we will be together again……
