We’ve lost our precious “puppy” after a short fight with an ugly cancer. Scout was the 4th dog to join our family – we didn’t really need another, but what can you do when you fall in love with a puppy whose Mom and Dad you’re pet-sitting? You were such a character with a most appropriate name – “Scouting” the cat, tissues…always alert with one ear up, one down or you might miss something coming or going. You had to have a name from my favorite book “To Kill A Mockingbird”. I always worried that when the older 3 passed on, you’d be lost…but now you’re not because you’ve joined them. All together at last – all four gone in 2-1/2 years! We’re the ones left with tears and empty moments, but I know you’re thrilled to be with Dakota after missing him so much since he left us May 24th.
