Sadie

We found our special Sadie at the MSPCA. She was only one years old. My children and I stopped in to take a peek. We had been talking about finding a dog that was just the right size for our home and had a certain breed in mind…
When we first arrived we went to each kennel and I read to my children their stories as to how they ended up at the MSPCA….We went to all of them except one as there was somebody in front of the very last one. We were just taking a “peek” after all. As we were just about to leave, the man that had been in front of the last kennel started to walk away and my daughter noticed and told me. We turned and walked back to the kennel and I couldn’t believe that I’d almost left without seeing her! She was so beautiful and so shy. Her story was that she had been left behind in a house that her owners were evicted from. The Land lord had brought her to the MSPCA. When the owners came to take her back the MSPCA didn’t release her to them. The man in front of her kennel was her previous owner. He obviously
loved her very much.

He came over to me and asked if I was interested in adopting her. I certainly was. He was so happy to know that Sadie would be with children. We were so happy
to have turned around.

She was our pet for 15 years. Sadie was the best dog anyone could ever have. Although she is no longer with us. She will forever be in our hearts.

Always,
Sadie Montesano
